Fitness in Recovery

My goal is to be an addition to current mental health and substance use disorder care. There is tons of research that supports exercise as a complimentary healing modality when used in tandem with other evidence-based interventions.

Recent research has shown that for people recovering from substance misuse, physical exercise is a promising adjunctive treatment that may help to curb cravings, ease withdrawal, replace triggers, boost quality of life and lessen mental health symptoms. [1][2][3][[4][5]

When working with treatment centers and clients I use all of my expertise to create a person-centered and holistic approach with the knowledge that the brain and body work together + influence each other.
